Is Eid al-Adha connected to Hajj?

I
  • The moon of Ramadan starts and ends by the sighting of the moon in your own region
  • Ramadan and Eid al-Adha was started by Prophet ﷺ from 2 AH in Madinah
  • The Hajj [in Islam] was started by the Prophet ﷺ from 9 AH in Makkah
  • For 7 Years, Eid al-Adha was celebrated in Madinah before the start of Hajj in Makkah
  • History shows, start of Dhul Hijjah 10 AH in Madinah was different from Makkah
  • For centuries, Muslims in foreign countries did not limit Eid al-Adha with Hajj in Makkah
  • Until recently, Muslims have celebrated Eid al-Adha by sighting of the moon
  • The fasting on the ‘Day of Arafah’ is on 9th Dhul Hijjah by sighting of the moon in your own region
  • Therefore, Eid al-Adha is not connected with Hajj, but with the sighting of the moon!
